Welcome to the District of Columbia Lottery and Charitable Games Control Board's Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA") home page. The policy of the District of Columbia government is one of full and responsible disclosure of its identifiable records consistent with the provisions of D.C. Law 1-96. All records not exempt from disclosure shall be made available. Moreover, records exempt from mandatory disclosure shall be made available as a matter of discretion when disclosure is not prohibited by law or is not against the public interest.

When submitting a FOIA request to the District of Columbia Lottery and Charitable Games Control Board:
- State in writing that the request is being made under FOIA.
- Describe the specific public records sought. Where possible, please provide specific information regarding dates, files, titles, or other identifying information.
- Include your name, address, telephone number and other contact information.
- Clearly mark the envelope "FOIA Request."
The Freedom of Information Act Officer will respond to your request upon its receipt. There is a $10 research fee and $.25 per page copying fee for all FOIA requests.
